Wrexham & Shropshire websiteWrexham & Shropshire is the UK's newest long distance train operator and will start operating a new, high quality passenger rail service from Wrexham, Shrewsbury, Telford and Tame Bridge Parkway to London Marylebone from Spring 2008.
The company received permission to operate services from the Office of Rail Regulation (ORR) in September 2007, and will operate five trains a day (Mondays to Fridays) along the route initially, with the possibility of more being introduced in the future. Three trains a day will operate on Saturdays, with three trains northbound and two southbound on Sundays.
Trains will be sleek and modern, with on-board catering, first and standard class accommodation, and staff who will take care of passengers throughout their journeys.
Fares will be good value, and tickets will be available from all National Rail outlets, as well as online.
Renaissance Trains Shareholders own 50% of the shares in Wrexham & Shropshire, with Laing Rail being the other shareholder.
